BJJ for health, wealth & sovereignty with Johnny Woodhead

This chat with Johhny was so cool as he's one of those people who I knew from afar these last few years but always thought I'd love to learn more about him and what he's up to.

Johnny owns Holddown Brazillian Jujitsu based in Northland, New Zealand. He runs multiple gyms or spaces bringing together anyone and everyone drawn to learning the art and practice of BJJ. He has a solid following within his communities as someone who is inclusive in the true sense of the word and walks his talk when it comes to BJJ and life in general.

Johnny's background growing up in working class England, being part of a long lineage of boxers and just having to have his wits about him from an early age is a fascinating listen.

He is a brown belt, currently training for his black belt, he competes and lives and breathes BJJ. Johnny is also a surfer, father of three and husband to Rebecca, a crucial part of his success and an ex elite athlete herself. Enjoy the chat and find links to his work below.
